Motorhome Vehicle Technician

Full-time - Monday – Friday – 12 noon finish on Fridays

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and service checks on motorhomes to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as needed.
  • Installation and Upgrades:
  • Install and upgrade accessories, appliances, and components in motorhomes based on customer specifications.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Inspections:
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new motorhomes, ensuring they meet quality standards before customer handovers.
  • Fault Diagnosis:
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with motorhome systems.
  • Provide accurate and timely assessments of required repairs and associated costs.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, labour hours, and recommendations for future service.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Interact with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of the work performed.
  • Offer guidance on maintenance and care to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Control:
  • Uphold high-quality standards in all repairs and installations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Motorhome Vehicle Technician or a similar role in the automotive or recreational vehicle industry.
  • Technical proficiency in motorhome systems, including electrical, plumbing, joinery, and mechanical components.
  • Certification in vehicle maintenance and repair is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
